Oh No!, Not More Pink Flamingos

No, this is not another pink flamingo, yet a beautiful Shabby Chic Pink Peacock.

We have seen so many pink flamingos in our life time, how about something new. Check out our pink peacock. When I first found these peacocks at a estate sale they were sitting on a shelve looking so sheepishly ashamed of their ugly all over brown color. I stood for awhile trying to image what I could do with them ....was it worth taking them home. I then thought, why not refinish them in pink like you do with just about everything you touch lately. I did so and love the way they came out. I now have one standing so proud as a peacock should in my shabby chic office.

Well, I now have two all over pink peacocks and I am selling one of them @ Shoppes on Boutique Drive. So for all you girls or guys who love the color pink and just can't find enough pink things to surround yourself with, then this would be a great addition to your home.

Every girl should have a Pink Peacock, don't you agree?

Thanks for stopping by for our fun Pink Saturday Post and hope to see you all again next week. I have something really fun and pink in mind which will include a contest called "DO YOU DARE?, so be sure to come back then and see. The prizes will be unbelievable and great. Stop back then for no other reason then to see the prizes....if you dare?

I dare, my little cherub!!! I'm putting you on my google reader so I won't miss a thing you post. ;-) I found 4 kitschy "pink flamingoes" in a shop one time and bought them all. They were lotion dispensers and since I'm a fanatic....squeeeeeeeal....on lotions and body creams I put lotion in them and sent one to daughter, one to granddaughter and kept 2. One in our guest bathroom and one in my bedroom. They are so funny looking I couldn't pass them up. We laugh when daughter and granddaughter come visit.
Smooches,
Connie

Hi Sondra, and thanks for stopping by. The peacock is sweet, but the flamingoes are totally awesome ... for many years, I would "adopt" a flamingo at the Los Angeles Zoo as a birthday gift for my husband. Then I discovered animals with more bizarre names and features - ha! - and started adopting something really strange each year ... the one that comes to mind was the Red Rumped Agouti (hope I have that right, I know the RR part is correct :o)

I think I'll do flamingoes this Saturday, while the rest of the world is stuck in line at Walmart ... Have a great Thanksgiving!
